Job Description: 

ONLINE CAMPUS PASTOR 

MISSION AND VISION Northside’s mission is to connect unconnected people to Jesus Christ by connecting them to Christ, community and their calling. Our vision for the Online Campus Pastor role is to oversee, develop and pastor our online campus. This person will serve as a builder of teams and the primary pastoral presence for those who call Northside Online their campus.

 

PURPOSE Expand the reach of the Northside Online Campus, both locally and globally, with faithfulness and excellence. Build and equip volunteers for the Online Campus. Including chat hosts, prayer teams, camera operators, producers, etc. Develop procedures and processes for volunteers to implement live chat, live prayer, and community building in multiple worship services. Encourage participants to understand and explore engagement pathways (take their next step) and live out our core values. Follow-up with people on the Online Campus. Organize contact information gathered from people participating in the online broadcasts live worship experiences. 

Use this to: build relationships; get people into community groups; support Watch Parties; promote service to their community, and to encourage next steps in their growth process, etc. Build awareness of online campus via social media and other avenues. Work with the Communications Team to develop a continuously evolving strategy for this. Maintain the Northside Online Community Facebook page and mynorthside.com/live broadcasting platforms Coach, develop and lead spiritually the Online Campus Volunteers

 REQUIREMENTS This person must be a strategic and relational leader. Their passion for the Church should translate into a passion to reach people by meeting them at their level and ministering to them in unique and personal ways. They should have the heart of a pastor who wants to see their campus attendees grow in their spiritual lives. While not the primary technological oversight, a basic and growing understanding of production equipment and processes are important to the success of this position along with savvy in social media. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in previous positions with specific improvement and growth. 

 RESPONSIBILITIES Help develop the weekend service with the online campus in mind Pastor the Online Campus attenders Create and manage social media presence of the online campus Recruits, coaches and leads the Online Campus volunteer teams Create, execute, and constantly evolving strategies and systems for growth Connects unconnected people Jesus Christ both personally and through other ministries
